Mansfield ISD superintendent announces plans to retire

Mansfield ISD Superintendent Kimberley Cantu announced plans to retire in February in a letter to parents and staff Tuesday.

Cantu, who has guided the school district since 2020, has been in education for more than 33 years, 26 in the Mansfield ISD.

Under her guidance, Mansfield ISD passed a $588.5 million dollar bond in 2024, earned A ratings for 20 schools in 2025 and weathered a global pandemic.

Cantu said she plans to spend more time with her family.
