Mansfield ISD weightlifters head to state

Nine Mansfield ISD students earned the chance to take their strength to the next level. The students contended in the Texas High School Powerlifting Association regional contest and won top in their weight classes. They will now move on to the state contest.

Legacy High School:

Crystal Hernandez, 2nd Place at Regionals, weight class 148

Summit High School:

Esther Adedire, 4th Place at Regionals, weight class 181

Jada Rock, 2nd Place at Regionals, weight class 165

Eric Ho, 2nd Place at Regionals, weight class 114

Lake Ridge High School:

Tatum Feigle, 1st Place at Regionals, weight class 308

Adan Allen, 1st Place at Regionals, weight class 165

Lance Boseman, 3rd Place at Regionals, weight class 123

Timberview High School:

Dirk Dang, 1st Place at Regionals, weight class 148

Kingsley Opara, 3rd Place at Regionals, weight class 198

The state competition is scheduled to be held in the coming weeks. Girls competitions will run from March 15–18 at the Comerica Center in Frisco. Boys competitions will run from March 24–25, location details are to be determined. For more details, view the posted schedules on the THSPA and THSWPA websites.
