Epic Waters Indoor Waterpark, the largest indoor waterpark in North Texas, is making waves with the return of the Stuff the Bus school supply drive benefiting Grand Prairie ISD students. From July 21 through Aug. 11, community members are encouraged to bring 10 new school supply items — and, in return, receive a free admission pass to Epic Waters, just in time to make the most of summer before school begins.

“School supplies can really take a bite out of family budgets, especially for those already working hard just to get by,” said Cassidy Schippel, the waterpark’s director of marketing. “Stuff the Bus is our way of helping local families gear up for school while giving our guests a chance to be part of something meaningful and enjoy another summer visit before the school routine sets in. Grand Prairie is our home, and supporting this community means everything to us.”

To participate, guests can donate 10 new school supply items per family at the park entrance during regular business hours from July 21 to Aug. 11. Each family will then receive one free admission pass, valid for use Aug. 1-Dec. 30, 2025 (excluding Saturdays and holidays). Guests are encouraged to donate each day during the drive, not only to boost the number of school supplies collected but to maximize the number of passes they can earn.

A few reminders: Only one free pass per family per day will be issued during the supply drive, even if the donation includes more than 10 items. Each donated item must represent a school supply item category. For example: A donation of two boxes of tissues, four boxes of crayons and four boxes of pencils is acceptable. A donation of 10 individual pencils is not.

The most-needed school supplies include:

24-count Crayola crayons

Scissors

Construction paper (assorted colors)

Composition and spiral notebooks

Notebook paper

Tissue boxes

Clear or mesh backpacks and pencil bags

“We hope the entire community will join us in supporting our families in need,” said Dr. Gabriel Trujillo,  Grand Prairie ISD superintendent. “We’re proud to partner with Epic Waters to help ensure our students have the resources necessary for a successful start to the school year. When students come to school prepared, they’re ready to learn.”
