Garden club hosts Steven Chamblee

The Mansfield Garden Club will host a free evening with popular horticulturalist, writer and speaker Steven Chamblee on June 8 at Legacy High School’s Performing Arts Center, 1263 N. Main St.

Chamblee, who has been a horticulturalist for more than 40 years, brings humor and heart to his gardening tips and tales.

Chamblee has put his favorite stories together for a very personal presentation of inspiration, enlightenment and humor. He has been a guest columnist for Neil Sperry's publications and is currently the executive director of the Longview Arboretum and Nature Center. He is sure to entertain with his charm and love of all things about life and gardening. Even if you are not a gardening enthusiast you will enjoy this presentation.

Refreshments, silent auction and raffle prizes will be offered from 6-7 p.m., benefitting the gazebo at Walnut Creek Drive and Broad Street.

The presentation will begin at 7 p.m.
