Evening with the Author set for Thursday

The Friends of the Mansfield Public Library are ready to party Thursday night - and everyone is invited.

The 19th annual Mansfield Reads! will culminate with the Evening with the Author at 7 p.m. Oct. 20 at Legacy High School’s Performing Arts Center, 1263 N. Main St. Best-selling author Peter Heller will be interviewed and autographs will be available.

The annual event, which asks the entire community to read the same book, will feature Heller's “The Guide,” a 2021 thriller about a fishing guide who uncovers a sinister plot at an elite lodge in Colorado.

Admission is free, but to participate people must RSVP in advance at mansfieldlibraryfriends.org.

Paperback copies of “The Guide” are available for $15 at the Mansfield Public Library, 104 S. Wisteria St.
