The most wonderful drive of the year is back — and this season, Prairie Lights is shining brighter than ever. North Texas’ favorite holiday light park returns to the shores of Joe Pool Lake in Grand Prairie for its 20th anniversary season. The park is open from 6-10 p.m. nightly through New Year’s Eve at Lynn Creek Park, 5610 Lake Ridge Parkway. Admission is $50 per vehicle.
A beloved North Texas holiday tradition for generations of families, Prairie Lights dazzles visitors with more than 5 million lights arranged in hundreds of festive displays along a magical two-mile drive. Halfway through the route, guests can stop to enjoy the Holiday Village, which offers shopping, carnival rides, photos with Santa and a stroll through a captivating, twinkling walk-thru forest.
For its milestone year, Prairie Lights features a reimagined and expanded animated tunnel — one of the park’s signature features — along with an enhanced Walk-Thru Forest experience and special theme nights during the first week of December. Visitors are encouraged to pre-purchase tickets, arrive early and consider a weeknight visit to avoid longer lines. The park closes to new entries at 10 p.m. or when capacity is reached. More information and tickets are available at prairielights.org.
