Thaddeus F. Wyglendowski, affectionately known as “Ski,” passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2025, at the age of 78.
A memorial service with full military honors will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, 2025, at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211.
Thaddeus was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ann, his son Thaddeus Jude, and his brother Frank. He is survived by his sister Rosa and his loving children: Thaddeus Matthew (Kimberly), Mark (Lori), Samantha, and Amanda (Steven). He was a proud grandfather to Alexis, Thaddeus Nickolas, Chase, Cooper, Teagan, Jacob (Breanna), Abigail, Tristan, and Basha, and a cherished great-grandfather to Clayton.
A decorated Air Force Master Sergeant, Thaddeus served his country with honor for 22 years. His commitment to service continued in civilian life through roles including Director of Building and Grounds at Rose Hill School District, Associate Director at Sumner Regional Medical Center, Security Officer at Via Christi, and Director of Emergency Management at the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center.
Thaddeus lived a life defined by loyalty, integrity and love. He fulfilled his lifelong dream of being a devoted husband to his childhood sweetheart, Ann, and a proud father to a remarkable family. He had a deep affection for dogs, a passion for cars and a lifelong interest in all things military.
Thaddeus will be remembered for his unwavering dedication, his quiet strength and the love he poured into every chapter of his life.
