Methodist Mansfield Medical Center has once again earned designation as a Blue Distinction Center for Bariatric Surgery, a national recognition awarded to healthcare organizations that demonstrate expertise in delivering safe, high-quality bariatric surgical care and improved patient outcomes. The designation is part of the Blue Distinction Specialty Care program developed by the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association. Facilities receiving this recognition must meet rigorous, evidence-based quality measures and demonstrate commitment to comprehensive bariatric care.
The Blue Distinction designation recognizes hospitals that provide a full spectrum of bariatric surgery services, including surgical care, post-operative support, outpatient follow-up and patient education. Designated centers are recognized for quality performance, lower complication rates and fewer readmissions.
