Mansfield High School senior Elise Clift earned second place in the 500-meter freestyle at the 2024 UIL Swimming and Diving State meet. Clift earned her medal with a time of 4:48.41.
The meet was held Feb. 23-24 at The University of Texas at Austin. Students from all over Texas qualified for the state meet by either finishing in the top two places in their regional heat (automatic) or having one of the next eight fastest times across all regions (call-ups).
Mansfield, Texas, is a booming city, nestled between Fort Worth and Dallas, but with a personality all its own. The city’s 76,247 citizens enjoy an award-winning school district, vibrant economy, historic downtown, prize-winning park system and community focus spread across 37 square miles.
