The Arlington-Mansfield Area YMCA, in partnership with the City of Kennedale and Kennedale ISD is preparing to open a new Kennedale YMCA in January 2027 at 113 W. Kennedale Parkway. The new location will provide opportunities for residents of all ages to stay active, enjoy a variety of programs and connect with their neighbors.

The Kennedale YMCA will build on the Y’s strong community relationships and existing programs with Kennedale ISD, the Kennedale Library, and the Kennedale Senior Center. This dedicated location will serve as a welcoming gathering place where individuals and families can find support, strengthen connections and experience a greater sense of belonging close to home.

“The YMCA is a place where community comes together,” said Eric Tucker, CEO of the Arlington-Mansfield Area YMCA. “We are excited to deepen our commitment to Kennedale and create more opportunities for children, adults and families to grow, connect and thrive.”

The new YMCA reflects a shared commitment among the Arlington-Mansfield Area YMCA, the City of Kennedale and strong support from community organizations such as the Kennedale Rotary Club to strengthen the community and expand access to programs and resources that support local individuals and families.

“Together, we are investing in our youth, enriching the lives of our seniors and creating opportunities that will make Kennedale a stronger, healthier and more connected community. The YMCA and the City of Kennedale share one vision: investing in people, strengthening families and building a better tomorrow for generations to come,” said Kennedale City Manager Darrell Hull. “We are proud to welcome the YMCA to Kennedale and look forward to all we can accomplish together.”

Planned amenities include a fitness center, indoor track, sauna, group exercise classes, functional training and personal training, along with hydromassage and massage chairs.

Families can also look forward to Summer Camps, Lego STEM program, Child Watch, a music studio and community events. A café will offer an additional space for neighbors to gather.

The YMCA will also offer youth sports programming such as youth soccer, flag football, baseball and more, utilizing the Kennedale Sports Complex, starting spring of 2027.

The new location reflects the Arlington-Mansfield Area YMCA’s commitment to youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Through programs, partnerships and community support, the Y works to remove barriers and help more people access experiences that strengthen their lives.

Membership information, program schedules and grand-opening celebration details will be announced as the opening approaches.
