Legacy falls in first game of the season

The Legacy Broncos had a rough first outing for the 2026 football season, falling 40-9 to Arlington Heights at Vernon Newsom Stadium on Thursday.

The Broncos (0-1) will head to Little Elm on Sept. 4.

The rest of the Mansfield ISD squads will take the field 7 p.m. today.

Timberview will host West Mesquite at Vernon Newsom Stadium; Mansfield will welcome Arlington Martin at R.L. Anderson Stadium; Summit will play at Red Oak; and Lake Ridge will be at Prosper Walnut Grove.
