Mansfield ISD names finalist for superintendent

After an extensive and deliberate search process that included robust stakeholder input, a nationwide search and multiple rounds of interviews with top candidates, the Mansfield Independent School District Board of Trustees is pleased to announce Tiffanie Spencer as the Lone Finalist for Superintendent of Mansfield ISD. Spencer currently serves Mansfield ISD in the role of Area Superintendent.

Spencer brings a proven record of instructional leadership, strategic systems thinking and a deep commitment to student success. Throughout her career, she has focused on strengthening academic outcomes, supporting educators and building collaborative partnerships with families and communities. Her leadership approach emphasizes transparency, continuous improvement and student-centered decision-making.

In addition to her instructional expertise, Spencer is widely respected for her ability to align district operations with long-term vision and community values. She has successfully led initiatives focused on academic achievement, organizational culture and operational excellence.

Mansfield ISD Board President Benita Reed shared enthusiasm for the board’s selection.

“The board is incredibly excited to name Dr. Tiffanie Spencer as the Lone Finalist for Superintendent,” Reed said. “Throughout this process, Dr. Spencer consistently demonstrated a clear vision for student success, a deep respect for educators and a strong alignment with the values of the Mansfield ISD community. We are confident that her leadership will help advance our district’s mission and ensure continued excellence for our students and families.”

Spencer expressed gratitude and excitement about the opportunity to serve the Mansfield ISD community.

“I am truly honored and excited to be named the Lone Finalist for Superintendent of Mansfield ISD,” she said. “Mansfield is a district with a strong reputation, a proud community and a clear commitment to students. I look forward to partnering with the board, staff, families and community members to build upon that foundation and ensure every student is prepared for success now and in the future.”

The Mansfield ISD Board of Trustees is expected to take formal action on the superintendent appointment at its upcoming board meeting, following the state-required 21-day waiting period. Pending approval, Spencer would officially begin her role as superintendent on a date to be determined.
