Crystal V. Brown, MBA, LSSYB, Chief Operating Officer of Methodist Mansfield Medical Center, was named the 2025 NAHSE DFW Executive of the Year, the first recipient of the organization’s newly established Executive of the Year Award.

Brown is widely recognized as a transformative healthcare leader and a pillar in the community. Under her operational leadership, Methodist Mansfield Medical Center has grown into a 294-bed hospital that, in just 19 years, has welcomed more than 23,000 new lives, performed over 53,000 surgeries and served nearly 1.2 million patients.

Beyond operational excellence, Brown is known for her people-centered leadership. She serves as Chair of the Women Healthcare Executives Network and as a board member with ACHE North Texas, where she is committed to developing early- and mid-career leaders, with a particular focus on advancing women in healthcare leadership.

Her influence extends across the broader health system, which has earned national recognition for diversity, equity and inclusion, including a Top 10 ranking for workplace fairness and inclusion in 2024—demonstrating leadership that delivers both performance and principle. Locally, she serves on the MISD Education Foundation board and is active in the Tarrant County community.

“Crystal Brown exemplifies the very best of healthcare leadership,” said Juan Fresquez Jr., president of Methodist Mansfield Medical Center. “Her vision, operational excellence, and unwavering commitment to developing people have elevated her organization and strengthened our healthcare community. This recognition is well deserved.”
