As winter break approaches, Epic Waters Indoor Waterpark is gearing up to welcome holiday revelers with seasonal programming that blends winter magic with beach-themed fun — giving North Texas families an out-of-the-ordinary option for both Christmas break outings and ringing in the new year.
Throughout December, the Grand Prairie waterpark transforms into a tropical holiday wonderland during its H2O Holidays celebration, pairing signature slides and attractions with twinkling lights, live entertainment and a rotating lineup of festive, family-friendly activities — including seasonal crafts at the Waddles Workshop, Holiday Singo (song trivia), arcade challenges, a Letters to Santa station and an inflatable snow globe photo experience.
The celebration builds toward its biggest day on Dec. 31, when Epic Waters hosts a 12-hour New Year’s Eve bash from 1 p.m. to 1 a.m. The family-friendly event features the Epic Waters fan-favorite Duck Drop countdown, including early drops at 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. for younger kids, along with duck races in the Rio Grand lazy river and live entertainment throughout the day.
New Year’s Eve also brings a seasonal buffet at the Hungry Wave Cafe, offering tasty options that include a taco salad bar, Philly cheesesteak sandwiches, gourmet pizza and an assortment of sweet treats.
A highlight of both H2O Holidays and the New Year’s Eve celebration will be the ongoing pop-up performances from the Epic Circus Spectacular, featuring a rotating mix of acrobatic and comedic acts, music, and thrilling daredevil performances.
Adding to the New Year’s Eve excitement, guests will have opportunities to win more than $10,000 in prizes through hourly giveaways and duck race contests. Prizes include day passes, annual passes, cabana rentals, hosted birthday parties and deluxe VIP experiences that include hotel stays.
Know before you go: General admission is $59 per person per day and includes access to all slides, attractions, live entertainment and seasonal programming, though some craft activities may require an additional fee. The New Year’s Eve buffet is $30 for adults and $17.50 for children under 10. Hours vary by date, and guests are encouraged to check the park calendar and purchase tickets in advance. Cabanas are available for rental and provide a convenient home base for families or groups; advance reservations are recommended. Guests should bring their own towels, though towels and other gear are available for purchase in the Epic Waters gift shop.
