Time to find your stretch pants, skip lunch and get ready for the 11th annual Taste of Mansfield.

Mansfield’s yummiest night of the year is set for Oct. 23 at The Grand View Mansfield, 2201 Heritage Parkway. And tickets are almost sold out.

“This is a signature event where the community can come enjoy a night of food and support the Mansfield Mission Center,” said Stacia Miller, director of development for the center.

The event, which raises funds for the non-profit mission center, will feature 27 local restaurants and caterers, the largest field the Taste of Mansfield has ever had. This year’s vendors will include The Vault Seafood & Steakhouse, Poured, H-E-B, Cookie Society, Maple Street Biscuit Company, Portillo’s, La Gondola Italian, El Primo Mexican Grill & Cantina, Meehan’s Chophouse and Fish City Grill, all offering tastings of their food.

“Wear your dressiest stretchy pants,” Miller advises. “Taste something new or enjoy one of your favorites.”

Brian McFadden, executive director of the Mansfield Mission Center, agreed.

“The best food in Mansfield will be served,” he said. “Savory, salty or sweet, we’ve got it all.”

Between sampling dishes, attendees can place bids in a huge silent auction that will feature some one-of-a-kind treasures, including a microphone signed by rapper Snoop Dogg, a Taylor Swift-signed Kansas City Chiefs football jersey, an autographed Willie Nelson photo, a custom-made guitar, spa treatments, sports memorabilia and more.

Tickets are $50 and available here.

VIP reception starts at 5 p.m. with general admission running from 6-9 p.m.

Proceeds will be used to support Mansfield Mission Center programs, which include the free food market, medical and vision clinic, emergency resources, nutrition counseling, counseling and financial coaching.

“It’s one of the most fun events and the tastiest night of the year,” Miller said. “Funds go to help families in our community. You can receive a gala-like experience that everyone can enjoy.”
