Pumpkin sizes, colors and textures vary wildly at the St. John Lutheran Church pumpkin patch.

St. John Lutheran has rolled out the pumpkins for their annual patch, supporting youth scholarships and missions at the church, 1218 E. Debbie Lane.

Gourds range from tiny to fairy tale size with prices from $1-$40. Get your traditional orange pumpkin, a ghostly white, creepy gray-green or warty gourd.

Photo-ops at the many settings are free.

Saturdays at the Patch are even more fun from noon-2 p.m. with free special activities.

On Oct. 4, the patch hosts its fall carnival with face painting, hayrides, carnival games and Mr. Softee Ice Cream.

The petting zoo will be at the patch, starting at 11 a.m. Oct. 11.

And on Oct. 18, will be the Pumpkin Olympics pitting the Mansfield Police Department against the Mansfield Fire Department.

Oct. 25 will be Trunk or Treat with goodies for all the little ghouls and goblins.

The patch is open from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, and 1:30-8 p.m. Monday-Friday. On Mansfield ISD holidays, the patch will be open from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Free admission.
