Mansfield plans two hearings on new budget

The City of Mansfield will hold two public hearings on the proposed Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Annual Budget at the regular City Council meetings on Aug. 25 and Sept. 8 at 6 p.m. in the council chambers at City Hall, 1200 E. Broad St.

The adoption of the ordinance approving the budget will occur following the second public hearing Sept. 8. The public is invited to review and make comments on the proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2025-2026. Comments may be presented in writing or in person at the public hearings. The proposed budget can be found on the city’s website or in hard copy at the City Secretary’s Office in City Hall.

This budget will raise more revenue from property taxes than last year's budget by $5,219,218, which is an 8.53 percent increase from last year's budget. The property tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year is $2,746,842.
