Epic Waters Indoor Waterpark in Grand Prairie, 2970 Epic Place, is making Father’s Day memorable with its annual Father’s Day Belly Flop Contest, a playful celebration of dads and all their cannonball glory.

Set for June 15, this Epic Waters fan-favorite event invites dads to show off their biggest, baddest belly flops in the park’s Swimming Hole, an excellent opportunity to have Father’s Day fun, make a splash and maybe even embarrass the kids a little. Registration is free with park admission, and every dad who takes the plunge receives a free return admission pass. So even if Dad doesn’t claim the top prize, he’ll still be a winner — and possibly a family legend!

This year’s top flopper will be crowned by a panel of judges, including local celebrities and Waddles, the Epic Waters mascot, with prizes awarded for first, second and third place. The grand prize? An Epic Cabana Package, perfect for a day of VIP family fun, relaxation and poolside pampering.

Throughout the day, Epic Waters’ signature brand of epic fun will be in full swing, both inside and out (rain or shine, thanks to the park's massive retractable roof). Guests can enjoy interactive activities like the Hands Down Best Dad Picasso painting contest, shrink-art keychains, and the Dad & Me photo station with a DIY frame. Outside, the action keeps rolling with the Epic Relay Race, Ring Toss, Dad Dance Off and other backyard-style games. Additional action on tap includes the park's famed waterslides offering thrills from mild to wild, Texas’ longest indoor lazy river, and the region’s only indoor surfing simulator.

“Epic Waters is more than a waterpark — it’s a year-round destination for memory-making,” said April Luther, Events and Entertainment Manager. “We’re excited to bring families together to celebrate the dads who make a splash year round.”

Event sign-ups open at 1 p.m. June 15 near the Swimming Hole, with the contest kicking off at 2 p.m. Participation is free with admission, but all floppers must sign a waiver to join the fun.

Pro tips for your Father’s Day celebration: Purchase tickets in advance. Remember to bring towels, sunscreen and your best game face. Park admission is $59 for general admission and $36.17 for Grand Prairie residents.
