The Mansfield Women's Club made the day of local graduates and community groups last week.
The club passed out seven $2,000 scholarships to graduating Mansfield ISD women at its monthly luncheon. The young ladies represented all of the district's high schools: Abimbola Odufowkan of Frontier/Early College High; Anna Dihn of Lake Ridge High; Payten Lindsey of Legacy High; Sarah Oelsen of Mansfield High;
Sydney Gilmore of Summit High; Joycelyn Mai of Timberview High; and winning the Carol Esstmann Scholarship: Morriah Barnett of Summit High.
The women's club also presented 11 grants totaling $77,500 to community groups: Ronald McDonald House, All Star Equestrian, CASA, Common Ground, Community Healthcare of Texas, Friends of the Mansfield Public Library, HIM, Mansfield Mission Center's Linda Nix Clinic, Metroplex Women's Clinic, Safe Haven and Sewing Seeds.
The club closed by installing new officers for the upcoming year.
