It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. I know Charles Dickens wasn’t talking about cleaning when he penned this line, but it seems fitting.
When is the best time to clean? RIGHT NOW! Too many times we wait and wait, and we let things build up. We tend to do this with more than just are cleaning, am I right?
But, back to cleaning. We let the dishes pile up, we let the laundry pile up and we think we will set aside time later. Later is the worst time to clean. It’s too hard, it’s too much when later comes around.
Take care of the things that are calling your name the loudest. Load the five dishes in the sink in less than two minutes instead of waiting until they are piled high. Throw the one load of laundry in before you leave the house, then in the dryer when you get back. Fold while sitting on the couch that evening. DONE!
Don’t wait until later when there are five or more loads. Weekends weren’t made for cleaning!
Overcome the hurdle of the desire to wait or put it off. It really is just mental and you can do this!
