Two Mansfield ISD athletes take top honors at state powerlifting

Two high school athletes recently took home top titles in their weight class at the Texas High School Women’s Powerlifting Association.

Summit High School’s Esther Adedire was named state champion in the 181-pound class. Additionally, Crystal Hernandez of Legacy High School made history as the first-ever unequipped state champion in the 148-pound class. Crystal was also named Best Lightweight Lifter of the Meet, Best Lightweight Squat of the Meet, and Best Lightweight Deadlift of the Meet.
