Two of Mansfield’s football teams scored victories in Thursday night games, one at home and the other on the road.

Timberview (4-0, 2-0 5-5A DI), ranked No. 3 in Texas Football’s Class 5A DI state rankings, stayed unbeaten with a 71-7 win over Carrollton Turner at Vernon Newsom Stadium. Wolves quarterback Zuric Humes passed for five touchdowns in the rout.

Summit (2-2, 1-0 5-5A DII) evened its record with a 41-13 victory over Arlington Seguin at Wilemon Field.

Legacy plays host to Mansfield at 7 p.m. Friday at Newsom Stadium to open District 11-6A play; and Lake Ridge is at home against Duncanville at 7 p.m. Friday at R.L. Anderson Stadium to start its 11-6A slate.
