Timberview stays unbeaten with decisive victory

Timberview stayed unbeaten with a convincing victory over Dallas Sunset on Thursday at Vernon Newsom Stadium.

The Wolves (8-0, 6-0 5-5A DI) are ranked No. 3 in Texas Football’s Class 5A Division I rankings and are averaging more than 50 points a game, bolstered by their 90-0 victory Thursday.

The district title will be settled next week when Timberview meets Richland at the Birdville ISD FAAC at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27. Birdville is also unbeaten and has a bye this week.

On the lineup for the other Mansfield ISD teams on Friday are games between Legacy (2-5, 1-3 11-6A) and Lake Ridge (0-7, 0-4 11-6A) at 7 p.m. Friday at Newsom; Mansfield (5-2, 2-2 11-6A) vs. Waxahachie (5-2, 2-2) at 7 p.m. at Lumpkins Stadium; and Summit (4-3, 3-1 5-5A DII) vs. Everman (5-2, 3-1) at 7 p.m. Friday at R.L. Anderson Stadium.
