Police called to disperse gathering at Rose Park

At approximately 7 p.m. Monday, the Mansfield Police Department responded to a large gathering at Katherine Rose Memorial Park, 303 N. Walnut Creek Drive. As officers attempted to disperse the crowd, there were reports of hearing shots being fired. While officers collected some shell casings, but were unable to determine who the shooter was and have not located anyone who was injured.

Multiple agencies assisted to disperse the crowd and no officers were injured. This investigation is still ongoing. If anyone has any information or tips, contact Sergeant Hale at Cody.hale@mansfieldtexas.gov.
