The Mansfield Police Department responded to a major crash investigation involving a Kawasaki Mule side-by-side at 5:50 p.m. April 15 on Woodland Drive in the cul-de-sac. Investigators believe that the operator of the vehicle tried to turn the vehicle as it was approaching the end of the cul-de-sac. During this turn, there was a loss of control that caused the Kawasaki to roll over onto its side.

The driver was able to exit the vehicle, however the passenger was trapped underneath the vehicle. The driver sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene. The passenger was transported to a hospital in Arlington and was later pronounced deceased due to injuries sustained in the crash.

The incident remains under investigation. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the deceased once next of kin have been notified.
