Mansfield ISD trustees add two early-release days

The Mansfield ISD School Board has approved to change two dates on the district’s 2020-21 academic calendar to early release days.

Students will have early dismissal on Feb. 19 and April 9.

The change was made to help teachers and give them the necessary time to report grades and ensure attendance is accurate for the end of the remaining six weeks periods.

Elementary Schools:

Start at 8 a.m.

End at 3:30 p.m.

(Early Release Days | 8:00 a.m. - Noon)

Pre-Kindergarten:

AM session | 8 a.m. - 11:10 a.m. (breakfast & lunch included)

(Early Release Days | 8 a.m. - 10 a.m.)

PM session | 12:20 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. (lunch & snack included)

(Early Release Days | 10 a.m. - Noon)

Intermediate Schools:

Start at 8:30 a.m.

End at 4 p.m.

(Early Release Days | 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.)

Virtual Learning Academy Bell Schedule

Middle Schools:

Start at 8:45 a.m.

End at 4:15 p.m.

Includes eight 45-minute instructional periods.

Lake Ridge HS, Legacy HS, Mansfield HS, Summit HS, Timberview HS:

Start at 7:25 a.m.

End at 2:55 p.m.

(Early Release Days | 7:25 a.m. - 11:25 a.m.)

Ben Barber Innovation Academy/Frontier HS:

Start at 7 a.m.

End at 2:30 p.m.

Includes two session blocks for instruction (BBIA) / four 90-minute instructional periods (Frontier)
