In an effort to provide additional time and opportunities for teachers to prepare and plan effective instruction, the MISD board of trustees approved the following modifications to the 2023-24 school year calendar at the April 25 regular school board meeting:
Sept. 22, 2023, has changed from a regular school day to a Student Holiday/Teacher Workday.
Feb. 16, 2024, has changed from a regular school day to a Student Holiday/Teacher Workday and Bad Weather Makeup Day 1.
April 1, 2024, has changed from a regular school day to a Student Holiday/Teacher Workday and Bad Weather Makeup Day 2.
