Mansfield Cares will host the coolest event of the summer with Viva Las Mansfield from 6-11 p.m. July 24 at El Primo’s Mexican Grill & Cantina, 2300 Matlock Road.

The event will feature a casino with blackjack, roulette, craps and 3-card poker, plus a Texas Hold ‘Em poker tournament. El Primo’s, the title sponsor, will serve a buffet and spread the fun throughout the patio and new upstairs deck.

“We’re putting the fun in fund-raising,” said Mansfield Cares President Suzy Herrmann. “The event will assist Mansfield ISD kids in need.”

Mansfield Cares hopes to raise $75,000 from the event, Herrmann said. Proceeds from the event will go to Feed the Kids, local food pantries and shoes for children going back to school.

“Every last penny will go to the charities,” she said. “We have zero paid employees. We are all volunteers.”

Attendees will receive a stack of chips to start the evening and have the ability to purchase more during the evening. At the end of the night, the chips can be converted to tickets for raffle prizes. Plus, there will be live and silent auctions.

“All the friends that you go out with will be there,” Herrmann said. “There will be gaming, eating and drinking. You’ll be doing good while having fun.”

Seating is limited. Tickets for the casino are $125 and seats at the Texas Hold ‘Em tournament are $500. To purchase tickets or for more information, click here.
