Fireworks and the largest Independence Day parade in Texas are set to celebrate the 4th of July this week.
Mansfield sets of the holiday with a bang at Mansfield Rocks!, starting at 6 p.m. July 3 at Big League Dreams and Hawaiian Falls, 500 Heritage Parkway.
Parking passes are sold out for the event, but $10 ride share passes are available here.
The evening promises live music, concessions, games and a fireworks show.
Arlington sets off its celebration with Light Up Arlington, starting at 6 p.m. July 3 in Downtown Arlington, 100 S. Center St. in Arlington. The free party includes live music on four stages, vendors, food trucks and fireworks at 9:50 p.m. For more information, click here.
The 59th annual Arlington Independence Day Parade kicks off at 9 a.m. July 4 on the campus at the University of Texas at Arlington with more than 100 entries.
“This year we have the XFL Renegades, our new mascot Sparky, who is the only legal firework in the city of Arlington, and our new inaugural Firecracker 5K, which is set to take off at 7 a.m. right before the parade,” said Will Busby, co-coordinator of communications for Arlington Independence Day Parade. “Come early and get a good seat.”
