Marine Corps Staff Sargeant Jared Ray served from 2000-2006, serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom at Camp Pendelton, Iraq and with the USS Peleliu Expeditionary Strike Group I. He earned the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal, Sea Service Deployment 2 Stars, Marine and Navy Unity Commendations and Expert Rifle 3rd Award.
