Obituary: G.A. Green

G.A. Green, 81, of Mansfield, Texas, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021.

He was born in Burnet, Texas, on July 23, 1940. G.A. graduated from Odessa High School and went to Odessa College. He was married to Martha K. Jordan on Sept. 19, 1959, in Odessa, Texas.

G.A. started his own company with a friend and moved to Arlington, Texas, in 1968. In 1972 he started building custom homes and built his last one in 2019 and retired.

He attended First Methodist Church in Mansfield and had a passion for family, friends, golf and football. He loved the Dallas Cowboys, and the Texas Longhorns.

G.A. is preceded in death by his father, Granville Andrew Green Sr., mother, Lyda; sister, Sandra Proctor; and nephew, Mike Proctor. He is survived by his wife, Martha Kay Green, daughters, Nanette Mills (Steve), Lisa Sutphin (Greg), Laurie Mitchell (Austin) and Laura Green; grandchildren, Taylor, Clayton and Geoff Mills, Whitney Jwanowski, Brooke Joseph, Thomas Mitchell and Danielle Anthony; nine great-grandchildren; and one on the way; brother, Jerry Green; brother-in-law Bill Proctor. Memorials are suggested to the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
